Haliburton Pastoral Charge

Pastoral Charge Joint Service at Haliburton UC on Sunday, November 27 at 10:30 am.  This is the first Sunday of Advent and communion will be served.  Haliburton will not be serving lunch that day as the Festival Singers are holding a concert in the afternoon and need time to set up.

Christmas Joint Services:
Christmas Eve December 24 – Haliburton 7:00 pm

Christmas Day December 25 – Lochlin 10:30 am
New Year’s Day January 1 – Ingoldsby 10:30 am

The Aging Well Committee invites you to lunch! Come out to hear what we’ve learned from Dysart et al and Minden Hills residents and agencies about how we can make our community more “Age-Friendly” Tuesday November 22nd noon – 1:30 at the Haliburton Legion and Thursday November 24th noon – 1:30 at the Minden Legion. The Haliburton Pregnancy Care Centre is starting a 12 week Nurturing Fathers Program Thursday, November 24th at 6 pm. The evening begins with supper. Please call 457-4673 to register.

Handel’s Messiah presented by The Highlands Festival Singers, under the direction of Melissa Stephens, Saturday, November 26 and Sunday November 27 at 2:30 pm at Haliburton United Church.  General admission $20.00. Haliburton UC

Haliburton UCW will meet on Monday December 5th, starting with punch at 5:30, pot luck supper at 6:00 followed by a Christmas Program.  All ladies welcome.

Stewardship and Mission Offering:  The extra monthly Mission for November is the Canadian Blind Mission.  We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission.  Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer.  Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

  • Women to Women Bible Study, Tuesdays in the library 11:30 am until 1 pm. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891. 
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the Library 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
