Haliburton Pastoral Charge

Change of Location and Time: Men’s breakfast and time of fellowship Saturday, April 8, at 8:00 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church. This will be an opportunity for the men of our church / pastoral charge to get to know the men at St. George’s Church. All men are welcome.

Shout Sister Choir Haliburton presents a BENEFIT CONCERT for YWCA HERS (Haliburton Emergency Rural SafeSpace), directed by Laurel McCauley, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Minden United Church.  Doors open at 7:00 pm; Concert at 7:30 pm. Admission by donation to HERS.

St. George’s Choir and Friends present Spring Concert featuring Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Trial By Jury” Sunday, April 2 – 2 pm; Wednesday, April 5 and Friday, April 7 – 7:30 pm at St. George’s Church. Tickets $15. available at Master’s Bookstore, Haliburton.  In support of St. George’s and local outreach projects – with appreciation assistance from Highlands Little Theatre.

St. George’s Anglican Church will prepare for Palm Sunday by making Palm Crosses on Thursday, April 6th at 10 am in the church. Please join us for coffee, fellowship and the making of palm crosses. All materials will be provided and you are welcome to take crosses for your church community. Please let us know if you plan to attend and how many crosses you might need so we will be well prepared. Please contact Barb Peel 705-457-2752 if your might be interested in participating in this project. This will be an opportunity to get to know some people from another church.

Pot Luck Lunch:  Pot Luck lunch today after the service.  If you didn’t bring a dish don’t worry, there is always plenty!  Help is needed with clean up.  Thank you.

Stewardship and Mission Offering:  The extra monthly Mission for April is the Sleeping Children Around the World.  We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission.  Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer.  Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

  • Women to Women Bible Study, Tuesdays in the library 11:30 am until 1 pm. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891. Meetings resume January 17.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the Library 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
