A Place Called Home is hosting a Spring Silent Auction at Lindsay Square Mall from April 27 to April 29, 10AM-4PM daily. All items were graciously donated to APCH by Southern Comfort Hearth & Home. We hope you will be able to attend and place bids on your favourite items.  All proceeds will benefit our homeless shelter. Call 705-328-0905, ext 221 for more information.

Please join West Guilford Baptist Church for an “Old Time Gospel Night” Saturday May 6th 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Sing along with our worship team to some hand clapping, foot stomping, old revival Gospel favourites.

The College Community Choir in Lindsay, the Highlands Festival Singers in Haliburton and the North Hastings Community Choir in Bancroft directed by Melissa Stephens are joining together to present a Massed Choir event to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday. The event will take place in Minden on Tuesday, May 9th at 7 p.m. at the Archie Stouffer Elementary School. The title of this concert is “A Canadian Choral Celebration 150 Years 150 Voices.” All the music presented at this spectacular choir event will be the work of Canadian composers.  Tickets available from choir members, Cranberry Cottage, Minden Pharmasave or by calling 705-457-4916 or emailing 150years150voices@gmail.com.

Pot Luck Lunch:  Pot Luck lunch today following the service.  If you didn’t bring a dish, don’t worry there is always plenty!  Help is needed with clean up.  Thank you.

Stewardship and Mission Offering:  The extra monthly Mission for April is the Sleeping Children Around the World.  We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission.  Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer.  Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

  • Women to Women Bible Study, Tuesdays in the library 11:30 am until 1 pm. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the Library 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
