Haliburton Pastoral Charge

Highlands Festival Singers present “Jazzin’ Up The Highlands – Come Rain or Come Shine” Directed by Melissa Stephens Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 pm and Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30 pm Haliburton United Church. The Official Board of the Haliburton Pastoral Charge will meet on Tuesday, May 1st at Lochlin UC at 7 p.m.  You will receive the minutes and agenda by email prior to the meeting.  If you do not have email a few copies will be sent to the church.  If you receive the minutes, you are a member of this board and are encouraged to come out and help make important decisions for the Pastoral Charge. Thank you.

Are you 50+ and interested in meeting new people? Join us for conversation, table games and a chance to connect with others and enlarge your friendship circle. North of 50 is a new drop-in for mature adults which starts May1st in the Library at Lakeside Church, Park Street, Haliburton every Tuesday from 10 am till noon. Accessible entrance and parking are available at the back of the church. For more info call 705-457-2851.

Pot Luck Lunch:  Pot luck lunch today after the service.  Help is needed with clean up.  Thank you.

A service will be held on Sunday, June 3rd to welcome new members. Anyone who might be interested in joining Haliburton United Church is asked to contact Rev. Harry Morgan for more information.

Stewardship and Mission Offering:  The extra monthly Mission for May is Yonge Street Mission.  We thank you for your support and ask that you mark your envelope when giving to this extra mission.  Take note of the Stewardship and Mission bulletin board in the foyer.  Information will be posted as it becomes available.

Bible studies:

For a time of study, prayer and fellowship, please join us:

  • Women to Women Bible Study, Tuesdays in the library 11:30 am until 1 pm. All women are welcome to join us at any time. For info call the office 705-457-1891.
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study in the library 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Library: The library is open during office hours except when being used for meetings. The librarian is available Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. to help in choosing a book, DVD or teaching material (holidays excluded).

Coffee is available every Sunday before church in the foyer outside of the Fellowship Room.  All are welcome to partake and enjoy!
