Sunday, October 13

Thanksgiving Communion Service at 11:15 a.m. in church and online. Those watching online are invited to join in by having bread and wine or juice on hand.

October 4 – 19 and 26

The 9th Annual Share The Warmth event operated by SIRCH Community Services. Help support individuals and families by donating winter gear such as coats, vests, hats, gloves/mitts, scarves, snow pants and boots. Please ensure all donations are free of stains and rips and are in good working order. Donation dates are October 4 to 19. Haliburton collection sites are Algonquin Outfitters, Foodland, Glecoff’s Family Store and Todd’s Your Independent Grocer. The Haliburton gear giveaway will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SIRCH Bistro & Marketplace. As an appreciation to all participants, SIRCH will hold a draw at the end of the event for a chance to win a $20 gift card for each location.

Saturday, October 19

Men’s Breakfast and Fellowship at 8:30 a.m. at Haliburton United Church. All men are welcome. Those unable to attend are invited to read and meditate on the selected scripture over breakfast at home.

Saturday, November 9

Fundraising concert to help build Youth Unlimited’s “The Bridge Youth Centre“, hosted by Lakeside Church in Haliburton. Doors open at 1 p.m. The concert featuring local artists begins at 2 p.m. Also featuring a loonie auction, fresh baking and local maple syrup. Tickets are $20 per person, $50 per family. Tax receipts for donations: Thank you for giving toward the ministry of Haliburton United Church. To ensure you receive a tax receipt for your giving each year, please remember to include your full mailing address with your FIRST donation so we can properly establish a receipt file for you. If you have not yet provided your address, please contact the church office at 705-457-1891 as soon as possible. Tax receipts are issued in the new year.

Sundays: Service in church and online via live stream on YouTube at 11:15 a.m.

Sunday School: Children’s Service (aka Sunday School): Services are held on the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. at Haliburton United Church. For more information call the church office at 705-457-1891. Also, a selection of lessons and interactive materials is posted on the Sunday School web page for downloading for use at home to encourage kids in their faith.

Tuesdays: Minds in Motion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Haliburton UC. This Alzheimer’s Society program designed to provide physical activity and mental and social stimulation. $30/couple for 8 weeks. Call Jennifer at 705-748-5131 x225.

Tuesdays: The Ecumenical Bible Study group is on break.

Wednesdays: Women to Women Bible Study. Meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. For details call 705-457-7282.
