Upcoming Events and Notices

Offering Envelopes 2023: In the interest of minimizing expense and in view of so many offering envelope boxes not being used during the past two years due to COVID, only half an order of boxes has been placed for use in the upcoming year. Many donors are using alternative instruments in making their donations. If you would like envelopes, please advise Paul Cornish or Lynne Bertrand at your earliest convenience. Orders will need to be confirmed by year-end.

Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 p.m., online only. Access will open at 6:45 p.m. to give viewers time to tune in. To watch, go to our YouTube page. For more information, visit the Watch Online page.

Monthly mission: Our mission for December is Haliburton 4Cs. For details and to learn how to donate, visit the Monthly Missions page.

Ecumenical Bible Study: This group is on hiatus until next year, Meetings will resume January 10. The group meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom, facilitated by Jean Schlicklin Tyler. Contact Jean for the Zoom link by email or at 705-457-2214.

Women to Women Bible Study: This study is held two times per month on Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Zoom. The final meeting for this year will be on Dec. 7. Participants study the Word using a simple study method, pray and share their lives and concerns. New participants are welcome, whether on or off web camera or by phone, even just to listen in. The group will break after Dec. 7 for the holiday season. Next year’s schedule will be announced shortly. For more information email Lisa.

Mission & Service 2021: The United Church of Canada has published a brochure about Mission & Service funds raised in 2021 and how they were used. For details, visit the Mission & Service page.

Sundays: Service in church and online via livestream on YouTube at 11:15 a.m.

Minds in Motion: Tuesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Haliburton UC. An Alzheimer’s Society program designed to provide physical activity and mental and social stimulation. $30/couple for 8 weeks. Call Jennifer at 705-748-5131 x225.

Sunday School: Regular lessons are currently unavailable. A selection of lessons and interactive materials is posted on the Sunday School web page for downloading for use at home to encourage kids in their faith.
