Haliburton United Church reopened on October 4. Sunday services are held at the regular time of 11:15 a.m.
Live stream services will continue for the foreseeable future for those who are unable to attend in person. The online service time has changed to 11:15 a.m. as the in-church service is now streamed and recorded.
The church will also be open to events and community user groups.
All church use will be subject to the comprehensive Reopening Plan developed by the HUC Board of Stewards with the support of Session (Elders) and in conjunction with guidelines set out by the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit. Protocols to protect the health and safety of all church users are critical components of the reopening plan and must be followed closely. Vulnerable individuals are advised to stay home and watch the service online. If this is not possible, please contact the office for another option. We’re excited to be able to see everyone and meet in community literally again! However, we recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic pattern is unpredictable and therefore services, community group use and health protection protocols may need to change at a moment’s notice. The church’s leadership boards will continue to assess the best ways to protect the health and safety of church members, visitors and community user groups during the pandemic.
